On the women's soccer side, even more impressive is that they pulled off that win without Andi, who started a friendly against Korea for the women's national team last night. Sullivan will play again for the U.S. on Sunday. That's important, because the Stanford women have their two hardest games of the season next weekend, away at #2 UCLA and at #6 $C. The Bruins ranking will suffer on a 1-0 loss at WSU last night - looked like the Cougs' keeper was just on. The Toejams' might improve, given their 2-0 win over UW, if they can win in the Palouse on Sunday.
Oh, and get on the Macario train now. Her free kick for the first goal was one thing (30 yard over the wall into the top left corner). The second, settling a high ball with her right thigh, then striking the ball on the volley from that settle, into the near post was something not many players can pull off.

WVB - impressive because of the gameness of a still-recovering Plummer in gutting out a 5-setter; she looked close to ill on TV during the fifth set, but held it together. Big story for me last night was Alade, and the ongoing story will be can the Cardinal pass well enough. When their serve receive and passing are on, they are really good. But when they're out of system, there are a couple of rotations that are really problematic when Gray is in the front row. It got to the point last night that UW was keying on Plummer out of the back row rather than respecting the two front court options on a bad pass.
Not just Inky and Hayley, but also Ivana. She would've been a of exceedingly large proportions asset as an experienced fifth hitter this year, along with her penchant for blocking.
