Not an expert in what causes someone to win or not win the H.eisman, but I have to believe that if Love kicks butt against the Washington schools and also ND, whether he plays or doesn't play against a one-win team won't affect his chances much.

Unfortunately, it can't work that way. Most of the voters will have cast their ballots by Halloween, based exclusively on pre-season ESPN promo packages, as supplemented by who(m?)ever seems to be playing best for Alabama when they vote [insert gratuitous Damien Harris reference here].
