Having listened to Shaw's press conference -- while I'd hesitate to put too much weight on anything he says in such situations -- it's notable that when directly asked about Chryst's hold on the starting job, he avoids the question. That's not typical behavior of a coach committed to his starter.

I’m guessing he wants to look at the film before saying or deciding much, to figure out how much blame goes to Chryst vs others. I think we forget how limited the view is from the sideline. There is a reason that most camera angles are from higher up and most coordinators are in the press box.
