Final 9-1. Goal just after halftime for Haley to make it 7-1, then two late finished by Sam Tran off of feeds by Macario for the final tally.
RB, that's one of the problems with playing on the West Coast. Too few small league champions to give the seeds local cannon fodder, and so strong teams play each other too early. This year, Santa Clara and C.al, which would've been a natural second round matchup - but the second round, both would've played on the road, which would've been too expensive for the NCAA's taste, since they would've had an issue seeding them against Stanford. NCAA said - ignore the S-curve and keep expenses down, or stick with it and face the prospect of sending three eastern teams west to the Bay Area and then two back to regionals in the east, and paying all that travel. Which would they chose?
BTW, think UCF has a gripe? As a #2 seed, they get #49 Washington State in the first round. Meanwhile, #3 seed Penn State gets #158 Stony Brook, #3 seed %$C gets #84 Eastern Washington, #3 Virginia gets #176 St. Francis, and #3 seed Florida State gets #61 South Alabama. None of those teams are close to WSU.
