Family are UTSA season ticket holders and I have gone to a few games there. My first thought was that lower level was best but they feel that club really has the best sightlines. So I am going to try for club.Â
If the upper level are the upper level as displayed in the 3D map, those are kind of way up there. It's an old stadium, and they feel pretty far. If you are only getting a couple of tickets I think it would be well worth it to get in on the lower level.Â
The best part of the Alamobowl is the access to the stadium from downtown. If you get a hotel anywhere "on the River" it will be walking distance to the stadium. All of the riverwalk is great walking area and it will be lit up for Christmas, which will be nice. Some of the Hill Country resirt hotels up north of and west of town are nice but you'll be relatively far from the stadium.
If you look at this little map, just about everything on it is a max 20-30 minute walk from the stadium along the river.Â

The Brewery up just north of downtown near Trinity University and the King William just south of downtown have a good number of bars and are close proximity to the stadium.
San Antonio is laid back as hell, and the TCU fans will be low key and fun. If you come with the appropriate attitude and smile when you get tipsy, you'll like the experience.
