So adding Jackson changes things significantly. I’m think Hernandez is now in trouble. Duggar gives them a left handed bat that is a plus plus outfielder. I could see him in a quasi platoon with Jackson. Slater’s odds improve in my mind. I don’t like Parker.  I’m hoping the Giants trade him for a 53rd round graft choice and a box of Cheerios. Williamson is not on the radar anymore.

Here’s a question: what if Pablo comes to camp in shape?  He’s cheap as Boston pays the salary. Has some power and can back up both corners. Gives them a left handed bat off the bench. Which would improve Slater’s chances to stick.
