I'm officially shocked. Not only did I not believe the Giants could take a series from the NL East leading Braves who had won 9 of their last 10 before the Giants started beating bumps on them, who could have possibly seen them outscoring ATL 20-6 over the first two games?
The May schedule is just brutal. Outside of a 3-game set against the woeful Reds, every team they play the rest of the month is at or over .500 on May 6. If they are over .500 when the June swoon typically strikes, maybe they will be a contender after all. I'm still quite skeptical with all the injuries plaguing the team.
