Meet to be broadcast on Pac12 National @ 5:30 PM Saturday and 3:00 PM Sunday; times PDT
Women's Predictions for meet based on seeds from official entries as of Thursday, with last weekend's multi's results added :
Predicted Completed Events points Totals
USC 148.5 5 153.5
UO 145 3 148
LSJU 118.5 0 118.5
ASU 65 - 65
UCLA 50.5 9 59.5
CO 54.5 4 58.5
AZ 49 6 55
WSU 40 10 50
BARES 40 - 40
UW 40 - 40
Stanford, UO, & CO all have strong distance race potential (e.g. 1500, 5K, & 10K) that may not be accurately reflected in the time seeds, plus these races will likely be much more tactical, so times may be slower, and latter parts of the races can finish with crazy group sprints that can then produce strong swings in points. Alas, most of USC's points will come from sprints, which are not nearly as volatile.
Also, Stanford will apparently be missing middle distance star Elise Cranny who had seemed to be rounding into form. Maybe BobK has more on that.
