Every year we get really excited about a potential top-10 recruit, but the last time it panned out was the Lopez twins.

I wonder how much of this is due to recruits' having to fill out the application.  If I'm an 18-year old headed to the NBA in a year or two, I can't imagine I'd want to write essays and all that.  Obviously there are exceptions, but these top recruits aren't thinking about the 40 year decision.  Or so I suspect, anyway.
