I think that was the point at which Stanford was 4-3 on the season with victories over San Jose St, St Marys, UNLV and TCU. Not much of a resume. But not many data points for the computers to work with either. Stanford's season turned around when it beat UCLA 4-3 without Lord and after losing the doubles point.
Including the UCLA victory, Stanford has now won 17 matches in a row.
