I agree with the various sentiments on the flaws with the NCAA's current seedings approach, which is to rely exclusively on the final ITA computer rankings. The primary goal should be to seed teams commensurate with their strength, not to banish all human judgment from the rankings system. The NCAA should rely heavily on the computer rankings, but add a committee's judgment to adjust them when those rankings are clearly flawed. Their refusal to do so is a disservice to Stanford, Pepperdine, and their early opponents, and really makes a mockery of the rankings.
