Stanford will be playing a very experienced team in Northwestern.  They were the #1 team for much of last season and lost to ASU in the national finals. 4 of their 5 players return from that team.

Stanford counters with a solid core of Lee, Valenzuela and Aubert who return from last year's team that lost to ASU in the semis. Aubert in fact is perhaps the most experienced NCAA match play contestant of all time. She has played in match play all 4 years at Stanford. 

Liu and Wang did not compete in the NCAAs last year. Wang did get match play experience at the East Lake Cup in the fall vs ASU and U.SC. Northwestern also was at that event, but Stanford did not play them.

One other note - Andrea Lee finished T2 in the individual race, the highest finish EVER for a Stanford golfer.

The scoreboard I'm looking at shows Arizona as tied for 8th with "ties will be resolved".  It shows them as +17 today, with Alabama as +11. 

3 and maybe 4 PAC-12 teams will be in the match play.

MT, Arizona got an EAGLE from their final player to tie Baylor. They are playing off right now for the 8th spot which will oppose UCLA tomorrow. Light is fading. If this goes much longer, they may run out of daylight. That would be a problem because the quarterfinal matches are supposed to start at 7 am central.
