We are over one hour into coverage on the Golf Channel and only now seeing the first Stanford-Northwestern shot. Andrea Lee rolled in a birdie on 18 (her 9th hole). Her opponent was tentative on her shorter birdie so Lee moves to 2 up.

The focus is on the matches that went out first - Alabama vs. Kent St, U.SC vs. Duke.  Alabama is rolling. Man, I am glad they are in the other half of the bracket. They seem to be the strongest team right now.

Alabama cruised to a 4-1 win, but all the other matches are tight (3-2 or all square).  Currently we are playing holes 9-13 and are up 2 or 3 in three holes, and down 2 or 3 in the other two, so you have to like our chances.  Give Liu some credit; the sacrificial lamb was down five holes after 10, but has earned two of them back, and while a win is unlikely, you love someone who will battle to the end.
