Updating the NCAA career numbers:
1. Gordon 0-2 (0-2)
2. Lord 15-0 (5-0)
3. Lampl 11-2 (4-0)
4. Arbuthnott 7-2 (3-1)
5. Shin 4-0 (4-0)
6. Higuchi 9-1 (5-0)
Not sure why, but I think I'm happiest for Emma Higuchi. She was our most consistent singles player last year, and uncharacteristically got blown off the court in the final vs. Florida. She started this year off playing at #4, and then #5, and finally back home at #6, where she's just too good. Players at the bottom of the lineup don't get the national publicity, and they're often unranked, but the points all count the same. For her to be on the All-Tournament Team at #6 feels really good.
I think there might be some folks on this board who might enjoy rubbing Stanford's final #1 ranking (coming tomorrow) in the ITA's faces!
