I translate "every couple years or so" to being very close to saying "every two years or so". So why are you picking nits and saying it is more frequent than 'every couple of years'? Are you trying to interpret 'every couple of years' as a 2 year gap, as in winning in year 1, 4, 7, etc. etc.? I read 'every couple of years' as winning in year 1,3,5,7, etc.(05-22-2018, 01:57 PM)ColoradoTree Wrote: It's absolutely my pleasure. Like I've said before, it's a great deal to be a big Stanford Women's Tennis fan. We give them some attention, and they give us dramatic seasons, "underdog" stories, and a national championship every couple years or so. Heck of a deal.
Given that there have been 37 Women's tennis National Titles, and we've won 19 of them, it's more frequent than every "couple of years".
