I count 13 teams that are in the clubhouse at +16 or better.  That leaves 2 more spots above the cut line.

Stanford is currently at +14 as players are making the turn.  Looks like they will be in cluster of about 6 teams battling for the final 2 spots. But I don't think they have any shot at top 8 and match play. Kent State currently holds 8th place at +8. Still, it would be a nice accomplishment to get to play tomorrow.

The golf course has played very consistently across 3 rounds judging by the average individual score:
Round 1 - 74.17
Round 2 - 74.30
Round 3 - 74.00 (with half the field still on the course)

The course is giving up good team scores. The course record for a team has been broken every day. Northwestern 280 (-8) on day 1; Alabama 279 (-9) on day 2; Duke 276 (-12) today.

Illinois is at +17 and in 16th place right now. Looks like Stanford has to stay ahead of Illinois to make the cut. The Illini were in great shape near the top 10 until the final 2 holes. They were +5 on 17 and 18 (and that included 2 birdies). You never can feel comfortable on this course until the last player is in the clubhouse and the scorecards are signed.
