I've asked or hinted at this a couple times without any answers, so let me be more explicit...
Is Stanford recruiting Josh Pakola as a DE by chance? It seems he has played as a stand-up OLB through his High School years, but perhaps he will play with his hand down, and at DE his Senior year of H.S. and/or in college?
There are currently 12 players listed at OLB, and only one (Joey Alfieri) will for sure not be back in 2019. So it's conceivable if Stanford lands Herron Jr., Pakola, Latu, and DiCosmo, they would then have 15 OLBs on the roster in 2019 all told. This seems ludicrous to me, and that some of these guys would have to move to DE or ILB.
You may say, Stanford may not get more than Herron and one between the other three. That's still potentially 13 OLBs on the 2019 roster. Anyone have any thoughts here?
