Roster updated to reflect three early retirements.

1. Sophomore walk-on fullback Hannes Boehning (interestingly, his name has been misspelled on the Stanford website since his admittance, which is telling). Out of Rye, NY (just north of Manhattan), Hannes redshirted last year. He was recruited by Ivy Leagues, and was a prep standout in wrestling as well. Perhaps he will go that direction athletically!
   
2. Senior reserve offensive guard Austin Maihen. A three-star recruit out of Santa Margarita Catholic - the same alma mater as K.J. Costello - played in nine games as a sophomore, and one game last year. An STS major (like fellow OL classmate Jack Dreyer, who also just retired a year early), perhaps Maihen decided to focus on school, or perhaps is dealing with a recurring injury that kept him off the field last year. At any rate, best wishes to Austin as he looks to life beyond Stanford.
   
3. Senior reserve wide receiver and kick returner Jay Tyler. A three-star recruit from New Orleans (he was a quarterback in high school, like his dad Herbert, who was a four-year starter for LSU), Jay played in eight games as a sophomore, and 12 last year. He never caught a pass, but did return a few punts, one kickoff, and threw a completion last year against Oregon. Not sure if this was to focus on school or a result of injury, but, as a psych major, Jay was an Honorable Mention Pac-12 All-Academic last season; certainly great things ahead for Jay.
