That was very similar to my take on the game. The defense looked solid, but I'm not sure if San Jose State is a good barometer to measure how good your defense is.
Although full of energy and effort, I saw Bashti lose the ball too often when in 1-on-1 batttles. He just seems too small to win many of those. He seems to be better coming off the bench to provide some energy, but am not sure if we have anyone better.
It's the first match of the season, but I still expected to see more from the team, and the performance raised concerns for me (a few bad results and my concern will turn to worry).
I hope it was just first-game jitters, and they can be an explosive team against the good teams they are about to face.
