A few thoughts before going to sleep, that I may be perfectly willing to disavow by tomorrow.

1. Fanaika may have won himself a job by not playing.

Actually Hamilton wasn't terrible (Sarrel had some struggles) and one of the biggest problems was SDSU simply bringing two more guys to the LOS than we had blockers. But the run blocking simply has to be better - much better. To keep some optimism I will assume that getting back two guys along the OL will help out. 

2. Less extreme, but also thought Malik Antoine may have won himself a starting job by not playing.

3. While I am not sure what kind of offense SDSU has, I was tremendously encouraged by the defense, particularly the DL.
There was the one disastrous drive, but SDSU got little outside of that. That drive seemed to be more missing fits than being blown off the ball.
SDSU had 84 yds rushing that drive, 66 yards net the rest of the game.

4. The passing game worries me.
Even against single coverage, don't think we can crush many other secondaries with nothing but jump balls and back shoulder box outs.
But I have seen Costello hit receivers in stride, so hope he will be able to do so again.

5. JJAW is a man among boys. 
That was ridiculous. 

6. I see the promise in Adebo, if also a few frosh mistakes.
