WR action after the snap gives away the play as a screen. When WRs start blocking immediately, then the opposing secondary will probably stay alert. And let's be honest, opposing secondaries have yet to respect our receivers by sitting 15 yds back because they fear the deep bomb from all but JJAW. So either our WRs need to block the defensive backs into the Gatorade cart (yes please, always), or we should start running wheel routes with the playside WRs running verticals (of CMac fame, iirc).
Here I assume screen means the playside WRs are blocking. Bubble screens (usually run with WR trips?) are most effective when the blocking action seals off a defender without needing to put a hat on that defender.
