The biggest thing I see is a fewer turnovers and no fouls. That would be of immense proportions if she could replicate that at Stanford. I'm excited to see how she contributes in Tenerife. With the US National Team missing so many people, it'd be a good chance for the Opals led by Liz Cambage.
Unfortunately, I doubt if her lack of fouls portends anything at all for how she will do with her college team. The problem Alanna has had with fouling in college is probably related to the different rules and standards that apply in the NCAAs compared with international play. A lot of international players have a problem adjusting to NCAA rules. Unfortuantely, Alanna seems to have had more such problems than most and for a longer time than most, and playing in the international game right before her college season probably won't help.
That's a good observation. Sometimes I tend to forget that the international game is quite different from the college game.
In any case, Alanna chucked up 10 points and gathered 7 rebounds against China. 2 steals and 2 assists to go with 4 turnovers in 20 minutes.
