I come down for 2-3 games a year and, lately, the best part is hanging out with old friends in the tailgate areas. The in-stadium experience is hideous. A lot of it is not Stanford's fault...unless you blame them for signing a TV contract that allows for rush hour kickoffs, games that end at midnight and 5-10-minute intervals between possession changes, killing any momentum or continuity. But I do blame Stanford for the incessant and annoying time-filling with dumbass commentary and interviews that no one can hear...or wants to. Unfortunately, it's a lot better football experience on TV.
