Again, Bloomgren's OL in the first half of 2014 was much more frustrating than this one. They prompted me to do something I've never done before or since: keep a file headed "OL mistakes". Tracked them by game--sacks allowed, penalties (that team specialized in false stats and illegal chop blocks.)
Last year's OL was reason enough to consider getting rid of him. Perhaps strongly recommending him for head coaching jobs was the best way of doing that. And the fact that Bloomgren did not issue a final note of thanks and goodbye may be a hint that that is what happened.
