One other thing we learned - the offense seemed (at least to me) to be much the same as the first three games. The sets, the play calls seemed pretty familiar. Stanford rarely runs play action. I don't think I have seen any motion this season. Running plays start deep in the backfield and are slow to develop presumably to give Love a chance to pick a hole (which is rarely there). The passing game generally favors one-on-one isolations and seam passes to Kaden Smith.
Everyone who expected (hoped) that the offense was holding back some plays from the first few games was likely not satisfied. In the words of the late Dennis Green, they are who we thought they were.
