Changes listed here.
1) Against ND, true frosh DE Thomas Booker and WR Michael Wilson played in their fifth game of the season, thus burning their redshirts. I moved both to "First Year" eligibility columns and adjusted numbers accordingly. The reason for the former burn is obvious. I have yet to understand the wisdom of the Wilson burn.
2) Fifth-year senior ILB Jordan Perez played against both Oregon and ND, so I removed the injury notation. Coaches have talked about the good play of Bobby Okereke, Sean Barton, and Mustafa Branch, full stop.
3) True frosh CB Kendall Williamson has played against both Oregon and ND. Perhaps the next burn? Is this a recognition of his excellence, or an indictment against Treyjohn Butler?
4) Junior OG/OT Devery Hamilton played against ND, so I removed the injury notation. Brandon Fanaika continues to get the start at LG.
A few other musings...
- We have not performed very well at the safety position.
- I have been impressed with both Jordan Fox and Gabe Reid.
- I read in another thread someone calling for the replacement of Dylan Jackson at DE. That mystifies me. I think he has been our best DL, though I recognize that the DL as a whole often got pushed around against ND.
- Still flummoxed by the OL situation. Not only is it not our best positional unit, which most of us assumed going into the season, but it is also probably our worst. I suppose this decreases the chance that Nate HeBIG goes pro after this year.
