Before heaping too much praise on Utah, consider their schedule, including a WSU team that runs the ball less than pretty much any FBS team, and a UW that only rushed for 3 YPC against UCLA. They also played Northern Illinois and Weber State. 

Rushing ranks (yards per game) for teams on Utah's schedule (before Saturday):

No. 81 - Washington
No. 102 - Northern Illinois
No. 123 - Stanford
No. 128 - Washington State

So...yeah. I was wrong, it's way to early to say whether Utah has a very good rushing defense or not.
