Sorry, I am quite happy with Pac-12 Networks for this one.
If ESPN was carrying more Pac-12 WBB games they would be in terrible slots like Tuesday and Wednesday at 9PM (or later) on channels like ESPNU or perhaps ESPN2, with frequent bumps to ESPNNews or ESPN360 as MBB games in the major conferences run late or go to OT. Forget that.
Those that want to watch the Pac-12 get to see WBB at predictable hours with a largely predictable schedule on the Pac-12 Nets.
I understand why the most Presidents in the conference are not happy with the Pac-12 Network payouts, but for Stanford the channels seem to offer an important benefit for our teams.
Stanford Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer and Women's Volleyball dominate the fall programming. Sure casual fans might not care to watch, but family and friends from anywhere in the USA can watch most games by just getting Dish. That addresses a massive recruiting concern by parents for a number of sports for Stanford. That reliable TV exposure doesn't help Stanford in football or men's hoops, but should be an important positive for a number of other Stanford sports.
