I don't think anyone here is pretending mixing in some throws -- or, for that matter, the mysteriously disappearing reverse or fly sweep plays -- would be a panacea. Just that we know this team isn't a shove-the-ball-down-the-opponents'-throat team and in fact seems to be unusually susceptible to giving up tackles for loss. Given that, running all the time from standard sets just looks quixotic or like wishcasting.
