I really don't know what Stanford was thinking sending Love out there to play last night.  He obviously is not even close to 100% and they are ruining both his body and his NFL career prospects.

Would think the NFL is more concerned that he gets hurt too much then they are he would be ruining his body because he is playing with a gimpy ankle.  In fact, the NFL wants to see guys willing to play hurt, so Love could improve his stock by playing hurt.

But I agree, given how well Scarlett, in particular played, seems to have been a bad move to play Love at all.  That said, it may be that even with two weeks off, Love's ankle won't be healed, he can't hurt it any further, so he might as well play.  It does seem like it's his decision to play based on how he feels.

I was hoping Love would be the exception to the seeming rule, but the history I know says if you have a great season and are draft-eligible, go to the NFL.  So many examples of guys coming back and not being as good, seeing their raft stock actually plummet, and end up costing themselves a lot of money.  Of course, Love said he wanted to return to play with his particular teammates, and was perfectly fine risking falling draft position to have one more year playing at Stanford.
