First round results are coming in, and things have gone as expected so far (I'll edit this post with results as they come in):

First Round

Singles:

(9) Lampl d. Vinolas (UOP) 6-2, 6-0
(9) Higuchi d. Madison Clarke (Santa Clara), w/o (injury)
Nina Nikitovic (Portland State) d. Choy 6-0, 6-2 (note: this is what the website says, but it's such a shocking result that I'm assuming they inputted the winner wrong. Nikitovic was a freshman for Portland last year, barely played, didn't win a competitive match, and then transferred to Portland State, and now she's wiping the floor with blue chips at the top program in the country? No, either this is an error, or Choy is injured, or Choy isn't who we thought she was.)
Yee d. Jayden Nielsen (Sac State) 2-6, 6-1, 6-1
(9) Shin d. Savannah Sendar (SJSU) (score is shown on website as Sendar winning 6-0, 6-0, but I watched Shin win a few games, so they must have this reversed, too)
(4) Arbuthnott vs. Jane Ellis (Fresno State)
(9) Madurawe vs. Nikita Pradeep (UC Davis)

Doubles:

Higuchi/Choy d. Townsend/Vyrlan (UOP) 8-2.

(9) Lampl d. Jessica Zeynel (Cal), 6-1, 6-2
Choy d. Anneroos Nederstigt (UOP), 6-2, 6-3
(3) Lord d. Tamara Culibrk (SJSU), 6-0, 6-2
(8) Olivia Hauger (Cal) d. Yee, 6-4, 6-2
(9) Higuchi won 6-0, 6-0
(9) Shin won 6-2, 6-0
(4) Arbuthnott won 6-0, 6-3
