As it relates to what Stanford does on offense, ALL I want is for defenses to play straight up, without 8 and 9 man fronts to start games, or otherwise crashing extra defenders to the line at the snap of the ball.
If you get a lead, pound the run in second half. Go to heavy sets and tight formations when you know the defense is worn down, when 8 and 9 man fronts won't matter because they will be run through anyway.
Until you have a lead, attack and be unpredictable. Make defenses pay for overcommitting to stopping the run.
