As to the original question you have to care more when things go into the latrine. All you can do is play hard, root hard, criticize hard.

Just imagine that your school gave up football. It was the ultimate surrender monkey thing to do. That is when you give up.

I think U Chicago is doing just fine. ;) But yeah, Stanford's not that kind of school.
