We are leading 56-33 at the half.
The zone defense is not stifling us as we are using ball movement to either find an open player on the perimeter or finding a soft spot in the zone and Fingall has been knocking down mid-range jumpers to near perfection.
Speaking of Nadia, she, Kiana and Alanna are combining to outscore Idaho 45-33 by themselves shooting a combined 19/27.
Anna has chipped in 7 points from the bench as well, though Lexie, Lacie, DiJonai and Maya are a lackluster 1/12. I am hoping Carrington can pick it up, she hasn't had a brobdingnagian impact on the first game and half of play yet.
Our 3-point defense leaves something to be desired as Idaho is shooting 61.5% from long range with their guard King 4/5 from long range. However, we have had many more opportunities than the Vandals thanks to an insane 25-5 rebounding advantage (I believe the announcers were saying Idaho didn't pick up their first rebound until the second quarter!) and 11 turnovers by Idaho.
