Could academic information (admissions reply, or the result of a test score) be the reason for a delay?
For instance, SAT tests taken on Nov 3  have a score release date of this Friday, which would correspond to an commitment on Monday.

If that is the case, we of course wish her the best of luck(skill) to get a high score!
