2010 - Late in the third quarter, Cal shows their "play of the game" on their video board. 15 seconds of dead air & a blank screen. My older son, then 13, yells "THEY HAVE NOTHING! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!" Bunch of former players sitting a couple of rows above us are falling over laughing so hard and many come down & high five him. Also birth of the term "Cattoused"

winflop, thanks for that one.  I think I missed their "play of the game" because their stadium only had one video board at the time, and it was behind us. 

Regarding that 2010 Big Game - the performance by the Stanford team was undoubtedly the closest to perfection of the 46 Big Games I have witnessed.  There is precious little that I could find fault.  
Every possession with Luck at the helm ended in a score.  The first punt came when Josh Nunes came in for mop up duty in the fourth quarter.  There were no Stanford turnovers.  There was only one penalty on Stanford, and it was not egregious - the Stanford DL was putting pressure on their QB and had his arms up to try to deflect the pass, and his hand came in contact with the helmet, an automatic penalty.  And it could have/should have been a shutout.  Cal only scored when it was 45-0 and it required 1) the second and third string defense, and 2) trickery (a pitch to the WR on a reverse who then threw a pass for a TD, then a hook and lateral play in the flat for their last TD).

This game also gave birth to the Harbaugh quote, "Shut up and play football", when the Cal team came out for the coin toss and tried to start a fight.  Didn't work.
