At the half, even if Hawaii scored on every layup they missed, they would still be behind

Hawaii scored 8 in the first quarter and 14  in the second.  At the half, they're on a pace  to 44.

  Smith got into foul trouble early, again, with an offensive foul in the key backing into a defender. 

Tara always substitutes for players after they get fouls.  I wouldn't have termed one foul in a half as getting in trouble.
