I'll be happy next season if we keep the Axe and make a bowl game - any bowl game. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I have low expectations for next season. 4th seems a very reasonable expectation. Only 9 returning starters now with Barton & Buncom retiring - 10 if you include Toner. Yes, lots of talent at the skill positions on offense but they have very big shoes to fill. brobdingnagian question marks in the middle of the defense and the OL remains a concern until proven otherwise. I know many of us have been optimistic in the past couple of years about guys stepping up into starting roles, but it hasn't worked out very well - albeit with a couple of exceptions.
