That may be why OSU was doing what they did on offense: try to win those one-on-one battles, as there weren't open shooters to pass to.
Hopefully the great one-on-one defense will continue against Oregon because you can't help off any of their starters. They have Hebard who is a load inside and then 4 great 3 point shooters. This is my guess on the defensive assignments:
Hebard - Dodson
Sabally - Smith
Boley - Carrington
Ionescu - Hull
Cazorla - Williams
I think that's the best matchup scheme defensively. Sabally will just shoot over anyone else.
I think we need to really make them play defense. I think Carrington will be a key for us offensively as I can't see Boley staying with her. Cal got Hebard into foul trouble right away but it didn't do them much good as they insisted on shooting (and missing) from outside for awhile.
