Right now, Stanford is in the top four in the MPSF men's volleyball league. Standings are thus:

The top four MPSF teams make the playoffs. Stanford plays USC on Friday, 3/29 in Los Angeles. They beat USC 3-2 at Maples, and a win in Los Angeles should assure that Stanford will get in the top four -- though USC is undefeated at home. Still, Stanford's two remaining games are against Grand Canyon and Concordia, at the bottom of the standings, while USC still has to play Pepperdine, UCLA and BYU, the top three teams in the conference.
Stanford has split with both UCLA and BYU, and is 0-2 against Pepperdine. Stanford hasn't taken a set of Pepperdine, though the sets have been close.
