Still raining in Fayetteville. The tournament committee might want to play more today, I don't know if they can. Even after the rain stops, the course may need some maintenance to be ready for play. Weather looks clear for the next 2 days at least.
They will probably try to complete round 2 tomorrow and get started on round 3. That takes a lot of operational coordination. After the final group finishes round 2, the grounds crew will need time to set up the course for round 3 - move tees, reset the holes, rake bunkers, etc. They also have to re-pair all of the teams depending on their place after round 2.
The pace of play (5 1/2 hour rounds) certainly makes it a challenge to catch up on the schedule. The final round of stroke play is supposed to be Monday with the quarters and the semis on Tuesday and the final match on Wednesday. They may have to play semis and finals the same day.
There is no slack in the schedule. The men are supposed to play their one and only practice round at Blessings on Thursday before they start their NCAA tournament next Friday.
