The one thing that gives me some calm is that all of our closest competitors are hitting the course with or after us, so they're all also having to or will have to navigate the same slog. The teams who are finished are all well below us, so the cutline will almost certainly get higher as the afternoon progresses.

Not necessarily, 2006alum. The teams below Stanford (Auburn, Wake, Northwestern, Purdue) all started on the back 9. They have yet to play the front 9 which has three par 5s. More birdie chances.

Looks like the severe weather is going to pass north of Fayetteville. Odds appear good that teams will be able to complete the round today.
