Not necessarily, 2006alum. The teams below Stanford (Auburn, Wake, Northwestern, Purdue) all started on the back 9. They have yet to play the front 9 which has three par 5s. More birdie chances.
Looks like the severe weather is going to pass north of Fayetteville. Odds appear good that teams will be able to complete the round today.
Of the teams that have finished so far:
Illinois: +12 on the front, +13 on the back
Florida: +7 on the front, +10 on the back
FSU: +4 in the front, +16 on the back
Virginia: +9 in the front, +10 in the back
Kent State: +7 in the front, +4 in the back
Point is that most teams are doing worse in the back 9 than in the front nine.
