That UCLA freshman group (Spitz, Patrineri and Wilson)
could make a difference.
But they're only four deep--
Legaspi's rank would put her  eighth on our team,
not meaningfully higher than Calista Reyes.

Looks like the Bruins could have two number twos--
Galdiano and Spitz--
very good at three and four,
but not credible at five.

Might want to stick the Bruins in the mix with
SC, Stanford, Texas and Duke--
but I said that before this season, too,
and the Bruins dead fell,
despite having the world's number one female amateur.

Also worth adding for perspective on recruiting:
22 of the 40 players in the just ended match play finals
were from outside the United States--
10 from Europe, eight from Asia,
two from Australia/New Zealand,
and two from Mexico.

And Aline Krauter, who lists as United States,
is from Germany.
I don't think her parents have moved here,
they just sent her to the Florida golf prep school,
Saddlebrook.
