Hey, GoDawgs, just an FYI: Stanford was 21-4 away from home this season. So don't expect a home field advantage (unless given by the umpiring crew). The better team will win period.

No guarantees in baseball, but if you think Stanford's away-game experience has prepared them for what they are about to step into, you are mistaken.  From what I have seen, the most to attend a Stanford away game was a little over 3,000.  Their regional games typically drew under 1k.

At Dudy Noble they will be surrounded by 11,000+ loyal, vocal fans who are REALLY into their baseball team.  Here are a couple of links to videos that might give you a hint.

That the Mississippi State fans
behave much better than Fresno State's.

But is anyone here,
in all your Stanford fandom experience,
aware of worse fans than Fresno State's?

If all college games were like those three,
I'd stop watching them.  Really.

FWIW, this is what the father of Central Michigan's 1B posted on twitter RE: their experience in Starkville:

"Thanks Steve for taking the time to write those kind words, I believe every parent would tell you the exact same. It was the most fun and memorable season that we have been a part of. Bitter sweet as my son is a senior and walked off a college baseball field for the last time yesterday, I could not have chosen a better place than on the Dudy Noble field!  AWESOME experience!  The baseball God's were looking down on us for our regional selection. Thx Starkville, had a blast!!"
