It seems I came the closest, calling him "Mississippi State's star frosh pitcher". Given that he was named the co-National Freshman Pitcher of the Year that seems legitimate.
It's true that he only went 2.1 then 3.0 innings his last two games, which seems to be that sore arm thing that has him questionable for our series. Scouting reports indicate a high 90s fastball and a plus slider, which would make him very dangerous to us (or anybody). On the other hand, a less than 100% kid with a not-overwhelming fastball and a missing slider could be better for our hitters than whomever the next guy is.
