You are right about the baseball draft;
Among the first 180 players taken,
27 were from the Pac 12 and 25 from the SEC.
(And 13 from the Big 12 and just five--five--from the Big Ten.)

We were very good, but we slumped at exactly the worst time;
the pitching fell off in the season's last month and our bats disappeared
somewhere in Starkville.  


Again, I always have been impressed by Mississippi hospitality
and our board guests this week confirmed it.

Wish Oregon and Washington fans were half as gracious;
maybe all the rain turns them surly
