on lost balls, a friend is trying to pursue a cheap chip/GPS solution on each golf ball and link it to personal phone.  probably not too far off.  manufacturers I suspect would oppose such an invention (or at least initially).  

and good on you for trying to improve pace of play.  it is certainly needed.
