Giants were at 74.5. Ahead of the Marlins in the NL, and ahead of several teams in the AL.
Giants currently have the eighth worst record in baseball at 39-47, which projects to 73-89. They've scored 40 runs in the last 4 games, getting their first three game sweep of the season. They're 17-14 for their last 31 games, a 55% win rate. They have 76 games left. If they keep up that pace, they'll finish 80-82.
The new guys are doing pretty well. Dickerson, Pillar, Solano and that Slater guy from down the peninsula, batting .500 with four extra base hits of his five hits. Team BA finally over .230.
The question is what will Farhan do? Judicious trades to bring in young talent while keeping competitive? Fire sale? Just the relievers? Nothing?
