OK, this is getting stupid. The Giants beat the Rockies 11-8 today. They had 18 hits! Have they ever swept the Rockies 4 straight at Coor's Field, like they just did? They are now 47-49.
Still, Jeff Passan of ESPN wrote today: The. Giants. Are. Sellers. His way of emphasizing the point.
This column says it doesn't matter when the wins (or losses) happen, that they all count the same in the standings. Then he goes on to point out that the Giants will sell because they are 3 games below .500 and have the third worst run differential in the NL.

Perhaps because both marks are improving, ownership and personnel can come to an agreement that if they can't sell - so they can maybe play meaningful games in September - they also won't buy, to preserve their younger assets?
